You know what really grinds my gears?
People that don't fucking give the wave when they blatantely change lanes at an inopportune time.
So my commute to work is usually between 35-1hour depending on traffic. In that time I usually make a few dicey lane changes, but I signal and give the wave whenever a fellow driver makes room for me to change in. As such I expect the same in return. Sometimes I get it, but there have been a few annoying times when I dont.
I will be driving, there will be maybe 2 car lengths in between me and the next car, and some driver to the right of me will have his blinker on and since he's in some shitty car with no horsepower, he can't overtake me to get in there, he has to rely on me slowing down so he has room. So sometimes I'm a nice guy and I let people in - hey - getting to work 10 seconds later isn't going to be the end of my day - BUT - I expect a fucking gesture of appreciation in return. What do I get, nothing.
I decided to do a little experiment a couple days ago after I got tired of the few drivers that would pull lane changes that and did not give "the wave". What I would do is change lanes and see just who the fuck is in the car - i.e. - their race :)
Now I recorded 7 times this happened to me Monday through to today and 6/7 times I shit you not were Asian drivers. I'm not saying they are bad drivers, but come on, these people are definately not helping out the stereotype. I would think Asian drivers would want to be the best drivers since everyone expects them to be the worst. I mean they excel at almost everything, why should driving be any different?
OK, i'll end that rant there before I get slapped :) Seriously, I love you asians, but give me the fucking wave if you changing into my lane and I got to make room for your Toyota Avalon.
:)
